The Good Wife's Guide

This is from a 1950's high school home economics textbook.

The good wife's guide is a nice try to describe what a woman has to do to please her husband. It is a try though because it is not perfect. Let me mention one element out of this guide: eleminate all noise of the washer, dryer, or vacuum. It is clear that in that period these instruments were new and had to be introduced to the public. Apart from a vacuum I see no reason why a woman needs other machines.
